Our largest marine project set a world record after we towed more than 3.3 km of large diameter HDPE (LLLD) pipes from Stathelle to Malaysia, covering a distance of 27720 kilometres.

SDR from 7.4 to 41 (dependent on size). Variable SDRs possible

Minimized risk of joint failures

With long length pipe deliveries, welding or jointing work on site can be entirely avoided. The result is minimized risk of joint failures from bad welds.

High quality PE100 resins

All pipes and fittings are made of high quality PE100 resins, with quality controlled fabrication by factory standards.

Easy handling and short installation time

There is no need for an on-land storage, and as pipes are stored in the sea - the risk of ovalisation, scratches and other damage to the pipes, are highly reduced.

Less environmental impact

There are low environmental impacts, as sea transport typically has much lower carbon footprint than equivalent land transportation.

Pipelife manufactures its LLLD HDPE pipes directly into the sea from its factory in Stathelle.

The pipe length that can be produced is only limited by the size of the fjord itself and the diameter of the pipe. The facility has its own large storage areas on land and at sea, as well as a separate quay for direct access for ocean-going tugboats. Norwegian infrastructure guarantees a stable energy supply and a reliable supply of materials necessary for the production process.

The production line used to produce the tubes is of the highest quality, made with special modifications that provide unique benefits to our products.
